Sampler tracks

A sampler track plays an AudioBuffer. Built-in samples cover a basic kit; you can also load your own files or browse Freesound. Sampler-specific controls live in the track header and the Sample / Envelope tabs.

Loading samples

  • Sample picker dropdown — choose any loaded sample (Built-in / User / Freesound groups).
  • ⬆ button — load a WAV / MP3 / OGG / FLAC / M4A from disk.
  • Drag & drop — drop an audio file directly onto a track row.
  • Freesound browser — search the Creative-Commons sample library in-app.

Pitch & tuning

The pitch knob shifts the sample in semitones. fineTune trims in cents. When played from a MIDI or QWERTY keyboard, the note becomes a pitch offset from C4 (MIDI 60 = natural pitch).

Envelope (AHDR)

Sampler tracks use the universal Envelope tab: Attack → Hold → Decay → Release. Synth tracks ignore this tab — they have their own envelopes in the Synth tab.
