Mobile layouts

Sonyk is responsive. Below 768 px wide the desktop layout is replaced with one of two mobile shells:

Mobile portrait

From top to bottom:

  • Title strip (sonyk · active pattern · bar)
  • Compact 1×8 pattern picker (A1–D4)
  • Horizontal scrolling track-chip selector
  • 4 knobs (Vol / Pan / Cutoff / Reso) for the selected track
  • 4×4 step grid (one track at a time, audible playhead ring)
  • Compact transport bar (play / metro / rec / step-rec / BPM)

Mobile landscape

When the viewport is short (less than ~500 px tall, or wider than tall on phones) you get:

  • Slim top bar with transport + active pattern + BPM
  • Track chips
  • 2×8 step grid for the selected track
  • Touch-friendly virtual piano keyboard (3 octaves, C1–C4) routed through the same tapNote rules — auditions when stopped, writes when playing or step-recording

Pagination for > 16-step tracks

Both layouts show one 16-step page at a time; tracks with 32 or 64 steps display a small page selector below the grid (e.g. 1–16 17–32).
