1. Load two tracks
Open DJ mode. On each deck, LIBRARY → LOAD a track you own (Files, Dropbox, Beatport, SoundCloud). Sonyk detects the tempo and builds a beat grid; if a downbeat is off, EDIT → GRID and nudge it by ear.
2. Split them
Press SPLIT under each deck (Studio activates split-on-load). Four pads appear — DRUMS, BASS, VOCALS, OTHER — and go live around the playhead within seconds. Everything runs on the device.
3. Build the mashup
- Deck A: kill BASS and OTHER, keep VOCALS and DRUMS.
- Deck B: kill VOCALS. Start it — it lands on deck A’s 1.
- Ride the crossfader; the vocal sits on the new groove because both grids are true.
4. Add your own bass
Deck A can also be a pattern: add an Acid track, roll a bassline, and it plays on the same clock as the records. Keylock keeps the record in tune when you pitch it.
